Euphemisms in Vietnam

As teacher said that every country has different ways to saying something politely. In Vietnamese, there are many cases which people use different ways of expression but still good in purpose to say to avoiding the taboo, reflecting the culture of a person or showing polite in communication. For example, the word "death" in Vietnamese can be said in different ways as follow:
  • According to status, social class: Kings died known as "Ice Age", died for fatherland called "sacrifice"
  • According to religion, belief: Buddhists died called "Go somewhere happiness"
If we read a bad poem or an bad essay, we can say that "Your poem/ your essay is not very good." Instead of saying "You are lazy", we can say "You are not very hard"
